More proof that the wage gap is a myth ?
"A study of data concerning graduates of the University of Michigan Law School showed no significant difference between men and women who had children yet didn’t interrupt their careers or work part-time to take care of them. However, it revealed a significant gap between those attorneys and their colleagues—both male and female—who put their careers on pause for several years to stay home with the kids…"

Supernatural, if you want to get rich, it takes sacrifices. Shocking isnt it?

The biggest "wage gap" predictor is the woman works PART TIME and so earns less. Anyway, they are not buying this simple explanation.

Single women make the same as men. So let’s stop paying for everything on dates for crying out loud.

So basically if a woman wants to make lots of money just like a man, she has to let other people raise her kids so she can pursue her career…got it on it who really gives a shit?

sorry kid letting someone else raise my kids so i can go get rich is not a sacrifice i am willing to make. any one who decides money is mor important than thier kids are idiots!

Everyone already knows this women tend to work part time more then men, men tend to do more overtime then women, Women tend to take more time off work then men its just simply logic really.

Women are far more likely to put their carreers on pause even if the live with a man. So this means that women now have duties as carers and workers. Therefore until male behaviour changes it is still appropriate to point out that their is a sexist division of labour, where women are considered the carers, and men work. This is why feminists argue for better childcare.

I read the summary, not the actual article. But this article is a good apples-to-apples comparison because it is limited to a single occupation - lawyers - and takes the part-time issue out of the equation.

In general I think the so-called wage gap also fails to account for the fact that the genders are not equally represented in all occupations. For example, if the population of physicians is disproportionately male, and the population of elementary school teachers is disproportionately female, this is going to cause a wage gap between the genders.

I would have thought this would have been quite obvious to most people, but feminists seem to have terrible difficulty grasping it.
