Ideas for a good enviromental science fair project?
I want to take part in the science fair next year and I need a brilliant project. I realy want to do something enviromental. I was thinking about biodegradabilty or something in that field. Any good ideas or links that would be helpful? Thankyou!!

You could take biodegradable items and place one of each type in different environments–outside, buried in the ground, sitting in a sealed jar of water, in a pond, in a wetland, buried in a wetland, etc. Weigh the item before incubation, and after (I guess you’d have to gently rinse it off), and incubate for as long as possible (but the same amount of time for each item and habitat), so you can see changes. For each item, you could make a graph showing the weight lost for each habitat. You could even use more than one of each item (replicates) and do some simple statistics if you wanted. Then you could make conclusions about the best environment to degrade each material, probably based on the different microbial communities in each place.

I think, you,we, can try to invent all the good projects of the world, but, until the hypocrisy of the politicians and the word " ECONOMIC INTERESTS" will be used and applied as now, no big results will be seen.

Therefore I would suggest an "educational program project" to be applied to the politicians, that are the people that can manage properly this environmental issue, creating the right changes, moving the money to do it, etc.

Once you have the politicians ,truly,on your side, all the projects will develop at their best, with good coordination, fast, and,in consequence more effective.

Think twice about this.Maybe,THIS,could be… the project.

"Good luck to all of us"…

Try testing bottled water versus tap water versus something that could be polluted like river water.

Get three identical plants from the store and water each one with one of the types of water. Then you could determine the effects of pollution on plants and also how safe your drinking water really is.
