What jobs are there that specialize in clinical psychology?

I am really interested in clinical psychology and I would like to know what jobs I can take that involve this and their average salaries. Also what majors should I take for these jobs?

Hi, I’m currently studying a BSc in Psychology with the hope of becoming a Clinical Psychologist. What I need to do afterwards is get a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Being a Clinical Psychologist is probably the most well known job in this field. You earn a lot because you’ll essentially be a doctor without an MD, therefore you can’t prescribe medication.

What jobs use college algebra and what concepts of college algebra do they use?

I have to write a paper for my college algebra class on jobs that use college algebra and the concepts that the jobs use. I’ve researched and found jobs, just not the concepts. Someone please help me out!

All engineering jobs use college algebra either directly or indirectly. If the engineers don’t use the algebra in their designs, maintenance or repairs, they will use meters or computers and programs that do. Engineers need to use vectors, scalar products, vector products and linear equations. In stress analysis, the stress/strain relation for any metal is important. To describe that relation, engineers have to form algebraic equations.

Astronomers use college algebra to interpret data they collect about how much light different objects in the sky are emitting, what type of light, and so on. Biologists and geneticists use it to calculate mathematical predictions of intercellular features, cellular interaction, body reaction to chemicals and analysis of heritage. Almost everything in chemistry involves college algebra and dimensional analysis, in formulas, conversions, testing, solving problems, creating new products.

College algebra and analytical geometry are used for analyzing complex geometrical shapes and designs, so architects also use college algebra applications to design or repair buildings, homes and bridges. Construction work uses college algebra to plan the designs of roads, bridges, vehicles, tools, aircraft and machinery.

Have you tried asking in the "Careers" section of Yahoo Answers? A lot of persons who work in fields other than math and engineering could give you their personal input in more detail.

Mathematical statistics uses the probability theory as well as other branches of mathematics such as linear algebra and analysis. It is used for actuarial science as well. Algebra principles can be used in cooking, where you need to change the numbers depending on how many batches you would need to make, or how to convert measurements and cooking times.

It’s also used in accounting, figuring interest, or calculating how much money you need to save to reach a future goal. Persons who work in investing use algebra formulas to calculate basic percentage averages for certain types of commodities on any particular given day.

What kind of jobs are suitable for an animal lover and what are the prerequisites if any?

The degree I am currently pursuing is a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science but I seriously cannot imagine myself working as a software engineer or any job related to computers. I want to get a job that I enjoy doing and I realized that I really love animals and want to help them out. What jobs are there that helps out animals etc? And what are the requirements for them?

well you could be a veterenarian which requires 12 years of college. but thats a head vet so thats like top dog. or, you could be a vets assistant which takes four years and id say is more fun because you get to help out instead of doing everything. you could start your own animal shelter. or you could work at a zoo. the possibilities are endless and i cant list them all. if you wanna get really serious, talk to someone at the spca about the different careers in the animal feild. make sure that you are sure you can be comitted to animals because if you start, its not fair to them that you stop.

What jobs in the military involve being a strategist or tactician?

I am a big fan of all games which are strategy and invole thinking outside the box to overcome your opponent. I know there are jobs in the military that involve this but i dont know what they are. I would also like to know any other jobs that involve strategy or tactician. Thanks for the help.

Don’t bother trying to find out because you will never get there if all you care about is games when it comes to war. War is not a game, nor is strategic or tactical planning.

On topic, Generals and Politicians handle the strategic side of war. It takes usually 25-30 years of experience AT LEAST to reach these positions.

NCO’s and Officers handle the small unit tactics. NCO’s take a few years, Officers can take a few years or good results in certain military colleges.

What are the jobs that female marines are able to get that are closest to combat?

I’m going to MEPS in two weeks, I still don’t know what job I’m eligible for. I got a 62 on the asvab. I know women cant have infantry or artillery jobs but what are the jobs closest to an infantry job that as a female I can see myself asking for?

There is no job like the one you ask for. There are no jobs that are "close" to infantry or "kinda" like infantry. Infantry handles all the infantry type duties.

Think about this: You enlist as a cook. While going from point A to point B in a convoy you get attacked. You now see action and must defend yourself.

Very often it is where you end up and it is what your unit’s mission is that dictates if you go out and see any sort of action. So me telling you what job may get you "out of the wire" does you no good unless you actually went to a unit that leaves the wire.

Just pick a job you want to do and stop looking for action. You may want to see action, but I promise you that you don’t.

What are good jobs for sufferers of obsessive-compulsive disorder?

Jobs that can be beneficial for the coping and treatment of OCD? Jobs that dont cause the sufferer to feel so obsessed and compulsive about their job but still require a minimum BS or BA degree and are not dead end jobs?
I forgot to add stressful to the list, jobs that dont cause too much obsessions, compulsion and stress to occurr on a daily basis.
Jobs that also have coping mechanisms to the illness.
