If I want to visit pennsylvania , which is the best airport - New jersey or phillidelphia ( either or)?
Also If I do land in new jersey , what would be a best way to get to pennsylvania - train , cab or rent a car similarly if I land in phillidelphia. Pennsylvania airport is too damn expensive to land into

Well, as a native Philadelphia girl, I can tell you that it depends where you want to go. Overall, I think the Philadelphia airport is better. Newark is very unpredictable, and whatnot. The Philly airport really isn’t that much more expensive than any other airport, actually. And how does this relate to NYC at ALL? This is posted under NYC, not Philly! Geez.

Which Philly airport are you flying into? The regional or the international. I’ve always flown into PHL and have never had any problems when I visit my dad. I catch a cab from the PHL to wherever in the city and its a flat $25 fare to and from the airport. Driving around Philly isn’t so bad. You just have to know the what major streets go in what direction. So if you want to rent a car go ahead. But parking is a pain.

Newark is next to New York, not close to Philadelphia. You will lose any financial benefit getting the train or bus from Newark to Philly, and a lot of time besides. Even if you rent a car from that airport into Center City Philadelphia, you’re adding two hours each way to your travel time–ughh.

Just take the flight into PHL and get to your destination in a straight line. Cars are much cheaper to rent farther from NYC anyway.

Where in PA do you want to go? If it’s on the eastern side, consider Trenton, Atlantic City, or Newark airports. If you’re considering the western side of PA, like Harrisburg, NJ would be WAY Far to drive. If you want to go to like Milford, PA - consider flying into White Plains or Newburgh, NY. Those are both within a two hour drive from there.

Unless your planning to visit Pittsburgh go to the airport in Phillie. The local train runs "through" the airport stopping at all terminals.

I have consistently rented cars from Phillie Airport (usually at Alamo) at rates so low it was cheaper for me to take the train from NJ to Phillie (Over an Hour away) to pick up a car than it was to get one at Newark International (about 20 minutes) .

If you land in Newark there is a shuttle that can take you from the airport to Newark Penn Station where you can either take Amtrak (expensive but fast) or NJ transit to Trenton and SEPTA into Phillie (Cheaper but slower).

Have you looked into flying into Atlantic City? There are a limited number of airlines that do fly there but I’ve heard of people getting good deals.
